    Epiphone Casino

    Epiphone

    Casino 2020

    Needs verification

A vintage-style 3+3 set, but the fit on the Casino isn't confirmed. Epiphone don't publish the tuner hole size, so measure yours first.

    Why we say this

This set is sold as Kluson SD90SLN, with 1/4 inch posts and 3/8 inch bushings; SD90-SL-N is also a Gotoh part code, so its exact make isn't settled. Epiphone list Epiphone Deluxe tuners on the Casino and don't publish the hole size. The only figure we have is one owner's measurement of about 8.3 to 8.4mm on a 2021 Casino Coupe, which is a different model. Measure your tuner holes before buying.

    Casino (2023+) 2023

    Needs verification

Should fit if your Casino has vintage-size tuner holes, which older ones do. We have not confirmed the hole size on 2023 and later models, so check yours (about 8.5mm) before buying.

    Why we say this

Retailers list this vintage-style Kluson set as a fit for the Epiphone Casino, but those listings do not specify the 2023 revision. One owner measured the tuner holes at about 8.3 to 8.4mm on a 2021 Casino Coupe, and no 2023 or later Casino has been measured. If the holes are vintage size this should fit without drilling. If they are a modern 10mm, adapter bushings would be needed. Not confirmed either way.

    Gibson

    Les Paul Standard '50s 2023

    Needs verification

A vintage-style set for 11/32 inch (about 8.7mm) holes. Gibson fit Vintage Deluxe tuners to this guitar but don't publish the hole size, so it may match or may be larger. Measure one before buying.

    Why we say this

Kluson build this vintage-style set for 11/32 inch push-in bushing holes. Gibson list this guitar with Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons and don't publish the hole size. Gibson's Deluxe-style tuners come in both push-in and screw-in bushing versions, so the holes may match this set or may be larger. Measure a tuner hole before buying.

    Epiphone Flying V 70s

    Epiphone

    Flying V 70s

    Requires modification

These are built for smaller vintage-style tuner holes. This guitar ships with Grover Rotomatics in modern 10mm holes, so these would need conversion bushings to sit properly, not a straight swap.

    Why we say this

The stock tuners on this guitar are Grover Rotomatics, which mount in modern 10mm bushing holes. The Kluson SD90SLN is a vintage-style tuner built for the smaller press-in bushing holes of vintage-spec guitars, so fitting it here needs conversion bushings to take up the larger hole.

    ESP LTD EC-1000

    ESP

    LTD EC-1000 2023

    Requires modification

This guitar's tuner holes are the modern larger size, not the smaller vintage size this tuner is built for. It will sit loose without an adapter.

    Why we say this

Guitar's tuner holes are reported at 10mm (Guitar Chalk dimensions article), not the vintage-style 8.8mm press-fit holes this Kluson product is built for. Would sit loose without a bushing adapter, not a straightforward swap.

    Gibson Les Paul Classic

    Gibson

    Les Paul Classic 2023

    Requires modification
    Drilling

These are sized for smaller, vintage-style tuner holes. This guitar's holes are the larger modern size, so a bushing adapter is needed for a solid fit, not a straight swap.

    Why we say this

This guitar's tuner holes are normally 10mm, the modern size, not the smaller 8.5mm vintage bore these Klusons are built for. Installing a smaller-post vintage tuner into a larger modern hole leaves it loose without a bushing adapter to take up the gap.

    Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s

    Gibson

    Les Paul Standard 60s 2023

    Requires modification

This guitar's tuner holes are the larger modern size, not the smaller vintage size this tuner is built for. It will sit loose without an adapter, not a straightforward swap.

    Why we say this

The 60s reissue specifically ships with modern Grover-style 10mm tuner holes with screw-in bushings, not the vintage-style 8.8mm press-fit holes this product is built for. A vintage-post tuner in an oversized 10mm hole would sit loose rather than seat properly, the reverse of the usual vintage-to-modern reaming problem, and needs a bushing adapter or hole-filling rather than being a simple swap.

    Vintera '70s Telecaster Custom 2019

This is a three-a-side set, and this guitar has all six tuners in a line on one side of the headstock, so the layout is wrong.

    Why we say this
