    Description

The Lollar Imperial is a boutique-style humbucker set designed to capture the clarity, dynamics, and harmonic richness of the best vintage PAFs, while offering a slightly more refined and balanced response. Available in both Low Wind and High Wind versions, the standard Imperial set aims for the sweet spot: warm and articulate, with clear note separation and just enough output to drive an amp without getting muddy.

Each pickup uses Alnico 2 magnets, custom scatter winding, and vintage-spec materials to produce smooth highs, controlled low end, and a woody, open midrange. The result is a versatile humbucker that excels at clean and edge-of-breakup tones, while still holding together under gain.

The neck pickup is slightly underwound for clarity and separation, while the bridge offers a bit more drive and fullness without sounding harsh or compressed.

    ️ Installation Notes

The Imperial set fits any guitar routed for full-size humbuckers, including Les Paul-style, SG, semi-hollow, and many Super Strat-style guitars. It is available with either traditional braided 2-conductor wire or 4-conductor wire for more flexible wiring schemes.

Lollar recommends 500k pots for the best tonal balance, though players looking for a slightly warmer response might opt for 300k in the neck position.

Choose F-spaced bridge versions if your guitar has a tremolo bridge (like a Strat-style setup). Standard spacing is ideal for fixed bridges.
