    Description

The Gibson Burstbucker Pro set is a modernized take on the original Burstbucker series, offering vintage-inspired tone with a few key updates for improved clarity and punch. These pickups are voiced to deliver the feel of late-1950s PAFs but with slightly more output and a tighter low end, making them well-suited for everything from blues and classic rock to heavier modern styles.

The set includes an unpotted Alnico 5 magnet in the neck pickup and a slightly hotter, wax-potted bridge pickup, which helps reduce feedback at higher gain levels. Both pickups are designed to offer enhanced articulation and note definition, especially when pushing the front end of a tube amp.

These are standard-size humbuckers and drop-in replacements for most Gibson-style guitars with two full-size humbucker routes.

    Fitment Summary

    • Pickup Type: Humbucker (neck and bridge pair)

    • Magnet Type: Alnico 5

    • Output: Medium to high (modern PAF character)

    • Wiring: 4-conductor (coil-splitting and advanced wiring compatible)

    • Mounting Style: Standard humbucker rings or direct mount

    • Pot Compatibility: Works best with 500k pots (standard on most Gibsons)

    ️ Installation Notes

The Burstbucker Pros are standard-sized humbuckers and fit most guitars routed for full-size humbuckers, including Les Paul, SG, ES-335, and similar models. They use four-conductor wiring, making them suitable for coil splitting or more complex switching setups.

The bridge pickup is wax-potted to help reduce microphonic feedback, while the neck pickup is unpotted, preserving a more vintage-style harmonic response.

Available with or without nickel covers depending on your aesthetic preference. Mounting screws and springs are typically included.

    Benefits

    • Authentic PAF tone
    • Enhanced midrange
    • Balanced bass and treble
    • Ideal for Les Paul Standards
