Description
The Callaham Vintage S Model bridge is a high-quality upgrade for Stratocasters built around vintage 6-screw tremolo systems. It’s designed to offer the feel and tone of classic Fender bridges, but with modern precision and tighter manufacturing tolerances. This bridge uses a cold-rolled steel base plate and hardened steel block, both chosen for their impact on sustain and clarity.
Callaham designed this bridge to be a direct replacement for vintage-style Strat bridges—specifically those with 2 7/32" (56mm) string spacing and vintage screw hole layout. It’s not compatible with modern narrow-spacing Strat bridges (like 2 1/16" / 52.5mm spacing), so fitment depends on your guitar’s bridge specs.
The saddles are Callaham’s own vintage-style stamped steel saddles, with enhanced shaping and a reduced string break angle to help prevent string breakage and increase tuning stability. The block is available in various configurations (standard, shortened, or with a shortened arm hole) to accommodate different body depths and preferences.

️ Installation Notes
This bridge is a drop-in replacement for most vintage-style Strat bodies, including many Fender AVRI models, American Original series, and custom builds using vintage specs. It won’t fit guitars with modern narrow-spacing bridges unless the body is specifically routed for wider spacing.
If you're unsure about your current bridge spacing or screw pattern, measuring the center-to-center distance of the outermost screws and string holes is the best way to confirm compatibility.
Benefits
- Improved sustain
- Better intonation
- Enhanced vibrato stability
