Compared to most entry level Squiers, the Deluxe range focuses on modern hardware rather than vintage accuracy. You usually get sealed die cast tuners instead of split shaft or trapezoid styles. These hold tuning better and are easier to restring.

The bridge is a modern two point tremolo rather than the six screw vintage style found on some lower end models. This gives a smoother feel and more stable return to pitch.

Neck and playability
