Gibson SG Standard 61

The SG Standard '61 goes back to the original design language of the early 60s SGs. That means deeper body contours, a smaller pickguard, and a slightly brighter overall tone thanks to its Burstbucker 61 pickups. It's leaner and lighter than most Les Pauls, with access to all 22 frets and a quicker response under the fingers.

There's an immediacy to SGs – they feel alive. And this one, in particular, captures that snappy, raw feel that made the model so appealing in the first place. It's often seen as a lead player's guitar, but it holds its own in rhythm work too.
